Sri Lanka, July 21 -- A three-day National Workshop on Data Governance and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Public Sector Transformation commenced in Colombo yesterday (20), focusing on strengthening digital transformation in Sri Lanka's public sector.

The workshop is jointly organised by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG), the Presidential Secretariat and the United Nations in Sri Lanka.

The programme aims to enhance the knowledge and capacity of senior public sector officials on data governance, digital government and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
