Sri Lanka, Feb. 26 -- A tense situation arose at the Ambewela Railway Station yesterday (25) after officials restricted travel on the Ella Odyssey train to only those passengers who had reserved tickets online. This decision prevented a large number of foreign tourists from boarding the train, which was scheduled to depart from Ambewela to Badulla at 1:30 PM.
In previous instances, the Ambewela Railway Station issued physical tickets to tourists who were willing to travel without seats. These tickets were sold at Rs.7,000 for first class, Rs.6,000 for second class, and Rs. 5,000 for third class.
