Sri Lanka, March 18 -- A fleet of ten TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopters donated by the United States departed from the Port of Mobile on March 15 and is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka by May 24, 2026.Sri Lanka travel guide
The helicopters are military variants of the Bell 206B-3 Jet Ranger and will be operated by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF). The aircraft are expected to strengthen the Air Force's capabilities in advanced pilot training, disaster response, search and rescue operations, and other critical utility missions.
Officials noted that the donation will allow the SLAF to build on its existing experience operating Bell 206 aircraft, enabling more efficient training and operational readiness.
