Sri Lanka, May 4 -- Kalutara South Police said the body of a teacher from the Bandaragama area has been found on the Calido beach in Kalutara South.

The deceased has been identified as Nadeeshani Tharangika Amaranayake, a 41-year-old teacher and mother of one. She was a resident of 324, Kanaththagoda, Veediyaoda, Bandaragama.

It has been revealed that she left her home on the night of the 30th due to a family dispute.

Police said investigations were launched after they received an anonymous phone call on the afternoon of May 1 informing them a woman's body was on Calido beach.

Kalutara Coroner Nirosha Dilukshani conducted the on-site investigation and ordered the body to be handed over to the mortuary at the Nagoda Hospital.
