SriLanka, Sept. 22 -- A meeting of the Ampara District Human-Elephant Conflict Management Committee was held, chaired by Environment Minister Dr. Dammika Patabendi on Sunday (20), with the objective of providing immediate and sustainable solutions to the escalating human-elephant conflict across the Ampara district.

A series of key decisions covering multiple sectors were reached through a balanced approach aimed at safeguarding human lives and farmlands while conserving wildlife resources.
