Sri Lanka, June 26 -- The Colombo High Court yesterday ordered that steps be taken to issue summons to two Indian witnesses in the case filed against MP Namal Rajapaksa in connection with alleged criminal misappropriation of Rs.70 Mn through the Krrish deal in accordance with the procedure for issuing summons to foreign witnesses under the Judicial Service Commission circular.
The order was issued when the case was yesterday taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Nadee Aparna Suwandurugoda through a motion. On a previous occasion, the case was fixed for trial on July 7 by the Colombo High Court.
