Sugeeshwara remanded over misuse of state property
Sri Lanka, June 19 -- The New People's Front (NPF) Leader Sugeeshwara Bandara who served as the Private Secretary to former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who was taken into custody by the Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) yesterday (18) has been remanded until July 1, 2026 by the Fort Magistrate's Court.
The Police Media Division stated that he was arrested by the CCIB yesterday in the Colpetty area in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegedly irregularities involving his Government salaries.
