Sri Lanka, June 24 -- Sri Lanka made a flying start to the Men's Junior AHF Cup 2026, thrashing Tajikistan 10-0 in their Pool A match in Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan yesterday.

The Sri Lankans dominated from start to finish, scoring twice in the first quarter before adding one goal in the second period and seven more after halftime to seal an emphatic victory.

Arkam Mohamed was the star of the match, scoring four field goals in the 2nd, 13th, 37th and 41st minutes as Sri Lanka completely overwhelmed the Tajik defence.

Sri Lanka took an early lead when Arkam found the net in the second minute and doubled the advantage 11 minutes later with his second goal of the game.
