Sri Lanka and Japan sign MoU on security and defence exchanges
Srilanka, June 15 -- Sri Lanka and Japan signed a MoU to build confidence and enhance mutual understanding between the two countries to contribute to the promotion of peace.
The MoU, a part of the Foundation's project for "Security Dialogues and Defense Exchanges between Japan and Asian Countries' was signed on June 11 by Sasakawa Peace Foundation Executive Director Nobukatsu Kanehara and Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha.
Under the provisions of the MoU, the Foundation will organise alternating delegation visits of military personnel between Japan and Sri Lanka.
