Sri Lanka, June 18 -- Indian sources yesterday said that Sri Lankan and Indian authorities are discussing on the proposed Trincomalee Energy Hub project which includes the construction of a petroleum pipeline linking the two countries, the development of the 99-tank oil storage facility in Trincomalee, and the establishment of bunker fuel and storage facilities.
They said discussions on the project are progressing at various levels, as the urgency of implementing such a project has become more apparent than ever amid the ongoing crisis in West Asia.
