Sri Lanka, Aug. 13 -- A 17-year-old cricketer who was arrested by the Cinnamon Gardens Police over a fatal assault of an employee of Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club in Colombo 7 has been ordered to remain in the care of the Probation and Childcare Services Department till August 17.

The order to place the arrested suspect in probation has been issued after the suspect was produced before the Colombo Magistrate's Court by the Police on Tuesday (11).

According to the Police, the assault has taken place at the relevant Sports Club on August 8 and the employee who was injured from the assault had died on August 10 while receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
