SriLanka, Sept. 22 -- The Supreme Court's confidential determination on the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution has been received by Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.

The Speaker's Office confirmed yesterday (21) that the determination has been received and the Speaker is expected to formally announce the confidential determination of the Supreme Court today (22) in Parliament.

The determination of the Supreme Court has been conveyed to the Speaker following the conclusion of hearings earlier this month.

The 22nd Constitutional Amendment Bill and the Judicial Reforms Bill were presented to Parliament on August 18 by Justice and National Integration Minister Harshana Nanayakkara, after which the Parliamentary process for the proposed leg...
