Sri Lanka, July 6 -- The seventeenth contingent of the Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) which is set to embark on its peacekeeping mission under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon accorded a ceremonial salute to Army Commander Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo at the parade ground of the Gemunu Watch on July 4.

Following the ceremonial parade, the Army Commander addressed the contingent, stressing the importance of complying with United Nations regulations while serving in Lebanon. He also highlighted the significance of international peacekeeping missions for both the nation and the Army.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and family members of the contingent participated in the event.
