Sri Lanka, May 19 -- Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has rejected media reports claiming the organization is facing a financial crisis following the appointment of the Cricket Transformation Committee, describing the claims as "entirely false and misleading."

In a statement issued today (19), SLC said the Cricket Transformation Committee was appointed by the Sports Minister under Sections 32 and 33 of the Sports Law No. 25 of 1973, and is legally empowered to administer and manage all affairs of the institution, including its finances and assets, until a new Executive Committee is elected.
