Sri Lanka, March 18 -- The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) said that they filed legal action against individuals and unlicensed job agencies who engaged in fraudulent foreign job activities during the past five months from October of last year up to February of this year, 2026 and recovered Rs.194.5 million on behalf of the victims.Geographic Reference
A special unit within the bureau comprising of police officers, was launched in September 2025 in order to take legal action against foreign job scammers based on the instructions of Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra.
