Sri Lanka, April 20 -- Sri Lanka has had discussions with both India and China on the benefits of using the Indian Rupee (INR) and the Chinese Renminbi (RMB/Yuan) on cross-border settlements for trade and tourism.Sri Lanka exports

The matter was discussed by Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe with his counterparts from India and China on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings. The CBSL said, on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings, Governor Weerasinghe had met with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Saturday.
