SriLanka, Sept. 30 -- Three officers from the Sri Lankan Armed Forces are participating in a specialised Counter-Terrorism and Hostage Rescue Course in India from September 21.

The course under the framework of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC), forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen regional cooperation, capacity building and operational interoperability among its member states, particularly to address common security challenges in the Indian Ocean region.

The specialised training course provides participating officers with exposure to established procedures, operational concepts and best practices in counter-terrorism and hostage rescue operations. It also provides an opportunity for officers from CSC member states to engag...
