Sri Lanka, May 28 -- Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Sampath Thuyacontha and Russia's Defence Deputy Minister Vasily Osmakov reaffirmed the importance of continued co-operation between Sri Lanka and the Russian Federation in military technical co-operation, capacity building initiatives.

Both sides stressed the importance of closer co-operation in exploring opportunities for enhanced training exchanges between the two countries during the meeting between visiting Sri Lankan Defence Secretary and Defence Deputy Minister Vasily Osmakov in Moscow on Monday.
