Sri Lanka, June 11 -- The Second Round of Political Consultations between Sri Lanka and France was held virtually recently. The consultations were co-chaired by Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism's Ministry's Director-General (Europe and North America Division) Sugeeshwara Gunaratna, and France's Europe and Foreign Affairs Ministry Director (Asia and Oceania) Benoit Guidee.

The consultations marked an important milestone in the longstanding and cordial relationship between Sri Lanka and France and sought to build on the momentum achieved in the recent past.
