Sri Lanka, March 13 -- Families of members who passed away while holding membership will be given financial assistance at the Samagi Sewaka Sangamaya's Annual General Meeting.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, Opposition General Secretary MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara, and the party's parliamentary and trade union groups will participate in the event.

Political analysis subscription service Samagi Sewaka Sangamaya General Secretary Subhash Karunaratne said the union, which was established after the Samagi Jana Balawegaya was formed in 2020, is currently completing its sixth successful year. Alongside the AGM on the 23rd, the union will also hold a ceremony to honour its many retired members.
