Sri Lanka, May 2 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday said that people expect the SJB leadership to place the country on a new path of development free from frauds.

"As I arrived at this rally, I could see the high expectations on people's faces. They expect that the SJB leadership will steer the country in the right direction. We will turn that hope into reality," he said. Speaking at the May Day rally organized by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya in Colombo Premadasa added that the country no longer needs political drama, empty promises or social media disinformation campaigns to mislead the public.
