Sri Lanka, April 18 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was welcomed according to Tamil tradition when she participated in a ceremony held at the Hekitta Sri Sivasubramaniyam Hindu Temple, Wattala on Tuesday (14). The ceremony was held in parallel with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year cultural festival in Gampaha district organised by the Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Ministry. Industry and Technology Minister Professor Krishantha Abeysena, Labour Minister and Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Dr. Anil Jayantha, Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha's Chairman Brihan Aabdeen and Shrine Board Committee Chairman R. Sivakumar are also present.
