Sri Lanka, July 16 -- Sri Lankan women entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are expected to gain greater access to the United Kingdom market following the launch of two sector-specific export handbooks in Sinhala and Tamil by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the British High Commission in Colombo.

The handbooks focus on the Textiles and Apparel sector, including women's accessories, footwear and handicrafts, as well as Processed Agrifood and Spices, providing practical guidance on exporting to the UK under the Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS).
