Sri Lanka, April 27 -- The Department of Meteorology says showers or thundershowers are expected in most parts of the island after 1:00 p.m. today (April 27).

Morning showers are also likely in parts of the Southern Province.

Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is forecast at some locations in the Western Province, Sabaragamuwa Province, Central Province, Uva Province, North Central Province, as well as in the Kurunegala District.

Misty conditions can be expected during the early morning hours in parts of the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the districts of Anuradhapura District, Kurunegala District, and Badulla District.
