Sri Lanka, June 12 -- An appeal filed by former Minister Wimal Weerawansa's wife Shashi Weerawansa against the two year prison sentence and fine imposed on her by the Colombo Magistrate's Court for possessing an illegal foreign passport, was yesterday dismissed by the Colombo High Court.

Delivering the judgement, Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne upheld the sentence given by the Colombo Magistrate's Court.
