Sri Lanka, July 29 -- Police have arrested members of several Kavadi dance groups participating in the historic annual Devinuwara Uthpalawanna Sri Vishnu Maha Devalaya perahera with drugs in their possession yesterday (28) morning.

The suspects have been arrested during a special operation carried out yesterday morning by the Police under the instructions of Southern Province SDIG Kithsiri Jayalath.

The raiding Police team have found Ice and cannabis that was in their possession at the time of arrest.
