Sri Lanka, March 10 -- The All Island School Children Transport Association has decided to increase school transport fares by 5% with effect from today (10), following the recent rise in fuel prices.

Speaking at a media briefing, the Association's President Lalith Chandrasiri Fernando stated that although fuel prices had been revised several times in the past, school transport fares had been maintained without change due to the prevailing economic situation in the country.
