Scattered showers in several areas expected
Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- Meteorological conditions in the Bay of Bengal are expected to become increasingly unstable between October and December, with a heightened likelihood of atmospheric disturbances developing over the coming weeks, Duty Meteorologist Kasun Pasqual announced.
The Meteorology Department assured that comprehensive advance warnings will be disseminated to government authorities and the public as soon as any active low-pressure or cyclonic systems take shape. Official forecasts indicate no immediate weather-related impacts on the country over the next seven days.
