SriLanka, Sept. 9 -- Former Sri Lanka international and Kandy Sports Club captain Saliya Kumara Kolagolle has been appointed Head Coach of the D.S. Senanayake College Colombo First XV rugby team, bringing his vast playing and coaching experience to the Colombo school ahead of their 2026-2027 schools rugby campaign.

The Dons announced the appointment as they look to strengthen their rugby programme and build a competitive First XV side.

Saliya is a former Sri Lanka Sevens and 15-a-side player who also captained Kandy SC during his playing career.

He later moved into coaching and has built a strong reputation at both club and school level. He is also a qualified rugby coach and World Rugby Educator.
