Sri Lanka, June 12 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday raised critical concerns in Parliament regarding the Government's failure to appoint four judges each to the Supreme Court (SC) and the Court of Appeal (CA).

He questioned why four judicial vacancies in both the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal have remained unfilled for more than six months.

He highlighted that due to these prolonged delays, several qualified career judges have reached their mandatory retirement limits without being considered for these well-deserved elevations.
