SriLanka, Sept. 24 -- The Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council is launching a province-wide tourism promotion programme aimed at attracting more local and foreign visitors while creating new opportunities for tourism-related employment and businesses.

The initiative will divide the Ratnapura and Kegalle districts into six tourism zones namely Minipura, Samanalawewa, Udawalawe, Sinharaja, Dedigama and Seethawaka to systematically promote the province's diverse natural, cultural, religious and historical attractions.
