SAARC Secretary-General pays farewell call on PM
Sri Lanka, June 23 -- Secretary-General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Golam Sarwar paid a farewell courtesy call on Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya on June 22 at Temple Trees.
During their meeting Amarasuriya commended Sarwar's efforts to promote regional cooperation and advance the objectives of SAARC.
The discussion focused on the coming Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, which is scheduled to be held in Colombo on June 23. Amarasuriya emphasised the importance of collective regional action to safeguard the rights, protection, and well-being of children across South Asia.
