SriLanka, Sept. 21 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has presented a 20-year roadmap titled the "Green Paper" to the Working Committee of the United National Party (UNP).

Submitted as a discussion document on a shared long-term policy framework, the proposal aims to drive a radical transformation of Sri Lanka's political landscape.

Analysed across nine key themes, the document outlines the most feasible strategy for the national economy for the next two decades, with a central focus on establishing an "economy with Theravada characteristics", bridging traditional Buddhist heritage with modern, open-market economic growth.
