Rule of law, a must to boost investor confidence - Minister
Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- Leader of the House and Transport, Highways and Urban Development Minister Bimal Rathnayake told Parliament that the success of anti-bribery efforts depends on the honest service of public officials at all levels who fearlessly fulfil their national and humanitarian responsibilities.
He revealed information regarding the fraud and corruption committed by 50 key political figures with documentation covering such activities spanning from 2015 to the present. Opening the debate on the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Bill in the House yesterday (8), he said that for a country to achieve higher international rankings and boost investor confidence, the rule of law must be firmly established.
