Sri Lanka, April 1 -- The Government has granted approval to provide financial assistance of up to Rs.2 million per beneficiary for housing support to young people leaving institutional care and families of children at-risk.

According to a proposal submitted by the Minister of Women and Child Affairs, the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday (30) has approved the scheme, which will be implemented using funds allocated under the 2026 Budget proposals.
