Rs. 1.2 Bn compensation for farmers affected by the Nilwala Salinity Barrier
Sri Lanka, May 28 -- A strong Economy built on fiscal discipline and a people-centric government has enabled the payment of this compensation after seven years. While addressing the immediate concerns of the people, the Government has also launched programmes aimed at strengthening their economic stability, the President emphasised.
