Sri Lanka, Sept. 26 -- Rough seas and gusty winds are expected around the country over the next 24 hours, the Meteorology Department warned.The death toll from ongoing adverse weather rose to three, with one person still missing.

In a forecast issued yesterday (25), the department said showers or thundershowers are expected at times in sea areas from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle. Winds s and very rough seas during thundershowers.

Showers are forecast in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts, with thundershowers likely in parts of Uva province and in Batticaloa and Ampara districts after 2 pm for today (26).
