Sri Lanka, July 27 -- The reports published in certain media outlets alleging that outsiders have been accommodated at Presidential Residences are entirely false and misleading, states President's Media Division (PMD) in a relese.
The claim that 3,089 individuals were accommodated at Presidential Residences across the country during 2025 is inaccurate. During the course of 2025, officers attached to the security services, the President's Media and other official institutions were provided temporary accommodation, on various occasions, in other buildings located within the premises of the Presidential Residences solely to meet official operational requirements.
