Sri Lanka, July 20 -- Fisheries Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar has taken steps to strengthen the livelihoods of Northern fishing communities.

Under the guidance of the Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources Ministry, the National Aquaculture Development Authority (NAQDA) organised a ceremony to present recommendation letters for one-acre sea cucumber farming projects at the Kayts Divisional Secretariat auditorium in Jaffna.

Minister Chandrasekar attended the event as the chief guest and presented the recommendation letters to the beneficiaries.
