Ravi slams "sons of ghosts" for sidelining stalwarts
Sri Lanka, June 19 -- MP Ravi Karunanayake yesterday claimed that senior party stalwarts had been sidelined while the "sons of ghosts" had found their way into the UNP Working Committee.
He noted that veteran members of the party had been excluded from the committee despite their longstanding service.
"The sons of ghosts are in the Working Committee while those who have spent three decades in Parliament are denied an opportunity," he said. He questioned whether the UNP had become the private property of one or two individuals. Karunanayake said that the United National Party (UNP)
and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) should come together to safeguard the future of both parties, their leadership and supporters.
