SriLanka, Sept. 28 -- Several spells of showers are expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts today (28), according to the Department of Meteorology.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts after 2.00 p.m.

The public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize possible damage from temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
