Sri Lanka, July 13 -- Several spells of showers are expected today (13) in the Sabaragamuwa Province and the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, according to the Department of Meteorology.

A few showers may also occur in the Western and North-Western provinces, while mainly dry weather is expected across the rest of the island.

Meanwhile, strong winds of 40-50 kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills, the North-Central and North-Western provinces, and in the Monaragala, Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar districts.
