Sri Lanka, July 24 -- According to Prime Minister and Minister of Education Harini Amarasuriya, the University Grants Commission's 24/7 Anti-Ragging Hotline has been formulated for students in universities and other higher education institutes to report any incidents related to physical, verbal or emotional abuse without fear of retaliation. Victim Support Committees (VSCs) in universities are institutional bodies established to protect and assist students who experience ragging, bullying or sexual and gender-based violence.
