Sri Lanka, April 24 -- A complaint has been lodged at the Kesbewa Police about a motorist assaulting a fuel pump attendant at a fuel station on the Kesbewa- Maharagama Road.
According to Police, the motorist had slapped the attendant because of his refusal to pump fuel to the vehicle which had a registration ending with an odd number and the day of the incident had been designated for vehicles with even numbers.
The complaint goes on to state the assault took place after the attendant refused to pump fuel even after the motorist had pointed to a woman in the passenger seat of the car and claimed she was an employee of the Oil Corporation.
