Sri Lanka, July 17 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has said that improving the public transport system will be a key priority in the 2027 National Budget. Speaking at a pre-Budget review of the Transport, Highways and Urban Development Ministry on Wednesday, the President said that Sri Lanka must develop a quality and accessible public transport system that benefits every individual arguing that such an efficient network would reduce the financial burden of the daily commuting public while providing a reliable transport service across the country.
