Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya departed Sri Lanka today (31) for an official visit to Bhutan to participate in the Global Conscious Food Systems Summit.

The summit is scheduled to be held in Bhutan, with the Prime Minister set to participate in its opening plenary on September 1.

She will deliver a keynote address under the theme, "Rising to the Moment: Igniting Consciousness to Address the Polycrisis."

During her visit, Prime Minister Amarasuriya is also expected to hold discussions with international leaders and representatives on strengthening cooperation on sustainable food systems, food security and building resilient communities.
