Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- A meeting between President's Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake and a group of Hindu priests representing the Upcountry region was held at the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday (9).
During the meeting, discussions were held on the issues faced by Upcountry Hindu priests and their requirements.
Attention was also drawn to matters relating to the administration of Hindu temples in the Upcountry areas, the maintenance of Hindu religious schools, the needs of priests, as well as issues concerning temple lands and places of religious worship.
