Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- The increasing presence of ponies roaming freely on the streets of Nuwara Eliya and those used for tourism-related activities has raised serious concerns over road safety, with residents calling for proper regulation and supervision to prevent accidents.

Dashcam footage recorded by a motorist travelling along a road in the Nuwara Eliya area on Sunday (13) shows a vehicle being involved in an accident after a pony suddenly entered the roadway.
