Sri Lanka, May 29 -- Sri Lanka Police are working towards bringing 89 organised criminals back to the country that have been issued red warrants and are hiding overseas engaged in various crimes and operating drug trafficking syndicates in the country.

Addressing a special Police press conference held yesterday (28), Police Media Spokesman ASP F. U. Wootler further stated that eight criminals who were hiding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been already repatriated on Wednesday (27). He said that these eight suspects had been arrested and detained in Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE for serious crimes.
