Sri Lanka, April 24 -- The third day of the "Walk for Peace" pilgrimage commenced today(24) in front of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, with the participation of Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya and members of the Maha Sangha from both monastic chapters.

Venerable Pannakara Thero, who previously led a 110-day peace walk in the United States from Texas to Washington across ten states, arrived in Sri Lanka with members of the Maha Sangha to continue the peace initiative from Dambulla towards the Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo.
